Learn about two of the most common buyer mistakes PLUS 3 Realtor® Myths Dispelled
I think in some ways I was training for a career in real estate my entire life.
My grandfather helped build the first prototype modular home in Canada. My father renovated and restored homes and commercial properties. So I got a taste for the industry early in life, but I took a rather unusual path to get there...
A little background on me: I grew up in Saskatchewan, in a town of 500 called Lashburn. When I was in Grade 1, my parents moved my two siblings and me to the “big city” of Lloydminster - it had a whopping 10,000 people! Talk about culture shock! I always wanted to live in Toronto, though, and I was thrilled to finally move here in 1994.
One thing my parents always stressed to us was the “pioneer work ethic.” If you wake up early, work hard, and your handshake means something, you will prosper. It’s something I still live by today.
Jim explained everything to me, calmly and in detail...considerate, knowledgeable, and patient...the condo sold in record time!
Great realtor I could trust 100%, with his knowledge & experience during very important steps in my life. Very personable and always there for me. Couldn't ask for more!
If you believe the neighbourhood is as important (in fact, even more important) than the house/condo itself, you will appreciate the data made available for each and every home you view. Plus: access to Fraser Institute School ratings will help little Cindy or Sammy enroll in the right school. Another plank of Jim’s home buying system is his Home Inspection rebate.
If you’re reading this, you are like every single home seller. You want to make sure that you get top dollar for your house or condo, as fast as possible, with as little hassle as possible. You want to know that your Realtor is going to use every available tool to make that happen. And you want to see this plan in advance. So I'm going to let you in on my secret sauce.
How can you become more confident to better approach the home buying or selling process alongside an expert Realtor? Do you know 3 of the biggest dangers you need to avoid during the purchase process? What happens if you don't disclose a serious issue with your home to the buyers? These questions and many more are answered in Jim’s online school.
Read Sally's story and see the internal struggle she faced when deciding which Realtor she should use to help her sell her condo, and purchase bed first house.
Choosing a Realtor® isn’t always easy. And you need to choose wisely. After all, whether you are BUYING or SELLING, you will be spending a lot of time with him. You better get along! You see, when you sign a Buyer Representation Agreement, or Listing Agreement with a Realtor®, it is a legally binding contract, with specific dates and obligations spelling out each parties obligation to the other.
That can be a tad intimidating. What if you get it wrong?
When you work with me, don’t sweat it! Frankly, if you aren’t getting along with me, I’m probably not getting along with you either lol. Neither of us wants that.
